DESCRIPTION: Sweepstakes entry begins at 12:01 a.m. CT, July 1, 2024, and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on August 16, 2024 (“Entry Period”). At the end of the Entry Period, a random drawing will be conducted from among all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period to select one (1) Prize Winner. Snip-its is the sponsor of this Sweepstakes. DreamWorks Animation LLC and Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. d/b/a Universal Orlando Resort (“Universal Orlando”) are not sponsors of this Sweepstakes and do not endorse or otherwise have anything to do with this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes will be subject to these Official Rules and by entering all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.
ENTERING: No purchase necessary to enter to win. To enter, visit the Sweepstakes landing page at Snipits.com and enter the Sweepstakes. Upon completion, participant will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Exceeding the limits of Entries permitted by these Official Rules may result in the disqualification of all Entries from such accounts.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and D.C., age 18 or older or the age of majority in your state of legal residence, whichever is older. Void in Alaska, Hawaii and where prohibited by law. All Snip-its, Snip-its franchise salons, DreamWorks Animation LLC, and Universal Orlando employees, directors and officers, as well as their immediate families (parents, siblings, children and spouse) and persons living in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate. Entries must be complete to be eligible. Limit one entry per person. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, municipal, territorial and local laws and regulations. Submission of official entry or participation in these Sweepstakes constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules. The decisions of The Snip-its Franchise Co., LLC with regards to these Sweepstakes shall be final and binding.
WINNING: One (1) Prize award winner will be selected from all eligible entries received by random electronic drawing conducted by Snip-its on or about August 19, 2024 at The Snip-its Franchise Co., LLC Office. Winner(s) need not be present to win. The winner will be officially notified on or about August 31, 2024. The prize award must be claimed within thirty (30) days of notification. If the prize award is not claimed, it will be awarded in a subsequent random electronic drawing until a selected winner claims the prize. Winners are responsible for any income tax or tax withholdings resulting from prize award.
ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning a prize award depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. The Prize will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received and Trip is completed by August 16, 2025, after which no alternate winners will be selected, nor unclaimed prizes awarded.
GENERAL RULES: Snip-its reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, terminate or suspend all or a portion of this Sweepstakes should non-authorized human interference, fraud, printing errors, Internet viruses, hackers or other causes beyond the control of Snip-its corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness or proper operation of this Sweepstakes. Snip-its assumes no responsibility for lost, late or illegible entries. Snip-its, Snip-its franchise salons, DreamWorks Animation LLC, and Universal Orlando Resort are not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from acceptance or use of a Prize or participation in this Sweepstakes. By entering in these Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to Snip-its and Universal Orlando Resort contacting entrant for the purposes of administering the Sweepstakes and distributing prizes and awards. No personal information will be collected in connection with the Sweepstakes. All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for these Sweepstakes, as well as the Prize or other Winner, or an entrant’s compliance with these Official Rules will be resolved by Snip-its in its sole discretion.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Snip-its is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of information, for problems related to any of the equipment or programming associated with these Sweepstakes, for any human error, for any interruption, deletion, omission, defect, or line failure of any telephone network or electronic transmission, for problems relating to computer equipment, software, inability to access the website or online service, or for any other technical or non-technical error or malfunction. In the event of a printing error or irregular packaging, neither Snip-its, DreamWorks Animation LLC, Universal Orlando nor any related companies, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and respective agents and their agencies, suppliers and other companies involved in the development or execution of the Sweepstakes, or the production or distribution of Sweepstakes materials (“Releasees”) shall have any liability. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE, SHALL ANY OF THE RELEASEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THESE SWEEPSTAKES OR MERCHANDISE OFFERED, EVEN IF ANY OR ALL OF THE FOREGOING OR ANY OF THEIR AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. As a condition of participating, each entrant agrees that: (a) any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these Official Rules or the website shall be filed, and that venue properly lies, only in state or federal courts located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and entrants hereby consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering these Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; (c) any and all claims shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. PRIZE: There will be One (1) Prize (“Prize”) awarded. Prize winner (“Winner”) will receive a four (4) day, three (3) night trip for Winner and up to three (3) guests (“Guest(s)”) to Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida (“Trip”).
Trip will include: Trip will include round trip economy class air transportation for Grand Prize Winner and up to three (3) guests from a major commercial airport near Grand Prize Winner’s home (as determined by Universal Orlando in their sole discretion) to Orlando, FL*; three (3) nights’ standard hotel accommodation (one room, quadruple occupancy, room and tax only) at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort or at another Universal Orlando Resort hotel (as determined by Universal Orlando in their sole discretion); non-exclusive ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in Orlando, FL*; and Universal Orlando 3-Park 3-Day Park-to-Park tickets for admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure theme parks and Universal Volcano Bay water theme park, for Grand Prize Winner and up to three (3) guests.
The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Orlando Trip is Four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight and 30/100 Dollars ($4,788.30)
Trips must be completed by August 16th, 2025 or Prize will be forfeited without further or alternative compensation. Travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Travel dates are subject to Universal Orlando and Sponsor approval. Reservations are subject to availability. Trip must be booked at least sixty (60) days prior to intended departure date. If Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of his/her Prize with fewer than the allotted number of Guests or no Guests, the Prize will be awarded to Winner and each participating Guest and any remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption. If Winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21), he/she must be accompanied by an adult of at least twenty-one (21) years of age in order to check into the hotel. Unless child or ward of Winner or one of the allotted Guests, each Guest must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the Winner. FMV of Prize may vary depending upon the points of departure, ground transportation, and/or airline fare fluctuations; any difference between stated FMV and final FMV of Prize will not be awarded. Prize consists only of the elements expressly set forth above; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, baggage, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, etc.) are included in the Prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of Winner. Winner is responsible for any air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, inspection charges, baggage fees, and security charges. Winner and Guests are responsible for obtaining, at their own expense, any necessary travel documentation (i.e. valid photo identification, visas, passports, etc.) prior to travel. Once issued, tickets are nontransferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced. Open tickets may not be issued and stopovers are not permitted. Travel arrangements must be made through Universal Orlando.
* For a winner who is a Florida resident, air transportation may be substituted with another method of transportation by Universal Orlando in its sole discretion.
In connection with any visit to Universal Orlando Resort, please be advised that Universal’s policies, CDC guidelines, and the recommendations of health officials must be followed. In addition, guests should be aware of and comply with government guidelines regarding travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines before visiting any Universal destination. Please note that any public location where people are present provides an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19, and Universal cannot guarantee that any person will not be exposed during a visit.
All parts of the prize selected are subject to availability and blackout dates, and subject to change without written notice or warning. Should an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities, epidemics, pandemics and the spread of infectious diseases, including without limitation COVID-19 (as defined by the World Health Organization and any of the strains, variants or mutations thereof), and any related governmental or judicial actions taken in connection with, or as a response to, any such event, or any other event beyond the reasonable control of a party, whether or not existing, known, foreseen or foreseeable at the time this promotion occurs, render the redemption or fulfilment of some or all of the prize delayed, hindered, adversely affected, impracticable, or impossible, Universal in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to evaluate and make modifications to the redemption and fulfilment processes and timelines for any prize or portion of the prize that Universal Orlando is responsible for, which may include but is not limited to providing additional time for redemption and/ or fulfilment. Should the prize become unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and value may be offered.
Universal City Development Partners, Ltd. d/b/a Universal Orlando Resort (“Universal Orlando”) is a prize supplier only in this promotion, is not a sponsor of this promotion and is not responsible for the administration of the promotion, the collection of entries, or the selection of any winner. Any disputes, claims, and causes of action against Universal Orlando arising out of or relating to any person’s use of or participation in any prize provided by Universal Orlando shall be resolved by applying the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws provisions therein, and shall be solely and exclusively brought in state or federal courts within Orange County, Florida. Such claims shall
be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and all such claims shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event to include attorneys’ fees.
