Happy Father’s Day!
Posted on:
We’d like to take a moment to honor all of the wonderful fathers out there as part of the over 100-year tradition that is Father’s Day. There is so much that father figures do for us in our lives and they deserve more than just one day for recognition for all their time and effort!
Did you know that while many countries celebrate fathers on the third Sunday of June, that most others acknowledge fathers in society throughout the year? For example, Poland celebrates it on June 23. Brazil on the second Sunday in August and Sweden on the second Sunday in November.
There are lots of great ways to celebrate Father’s Day.
-One is letting Dad enjoy his day. For example, let him sleep in, make him lunch or breakfast in bed, or cut the lawn for him. Make him feel special and let him relax!
-Another great way to show your appreciation is to get the whole family together and acknowledge all father figures including grandfathers and uncles and even brothers sometimes.
-Do something together as a family that your Dad enjoys doing, such as playing golf, going to a baseball game or biking along a beautiful trail.
-And of course, nothing beats a nice handmade card.
What do you do for your father figure on this special day to acknowledge all that they have done for you?
